Terry cloth is stretched on a canvas frame and studded with small horses made of ironing beads. The painting is inspired by memories of playing at her grandparents’ home. For Pospischil, the beige hues and the ironing beads represent the contrast in generations, which is intensified by the fact that the horses were deformed and thus alienated in their shape. This breaks the cuteness and turns into an uncanny „dream of beige“. Nostalgic feelings and unpleasentness can go hand in hand when walking down the memory lane.
