Pia Pospischil's artistic focus lies in the fields of installation, sculpture, and video. In her multimedia works, she engages, on the one hand, with interpersonal relationships within various constellations and structures. On the other hand, she explores collective patterns within consumption and dependency relationships. She investigates these in terms of their entanglement with the value system of a modern, performance-oriented society. The openness in her choice of materials allows her to work in a topic-driven way at the intersection between reality and artificial exaggeration.

Since 2017, alongside her own artistic practice, she has worked closely with the artist collective Dünne Jungs. In their joint work, Ariane Koziolek, Lynn Scheidweiler, and Pia Pospischil engage in sociological investigations of the human being within a social context. In this exploration, the artists focus their approach on holistic experience through the creation of spatial installations with a narrative and interdisciplinary approach.

She has also been part of the curatorial team of the Galerie Gruppe Motto since 2024 — an artist-run space that works almost exclusively with open calls and focuses primarily on the investigation of broad thematic areas such as time, happiness, water, food, machine, and fairy tale.

In February, she joined the newly formed team of Hamburg Art Week CROSSING CURRENTS, where she is responsible for curation and coordination for the founding edition in 2026.
