PIA POSPISCHIL

lives and works in Hamburg, Germany

Pia Pospischil graduated in 2020 in Stage and Costume Design at ABK Stuttgart and MKE Budapest with Prof. Martin Zehetgruber and Prof. Bettina Walter and Prof. Birgit Brenner.
Since 2022 she is part of the sculpture class of Prof. Thomas Demand/Ed Atkins/Jason Dodge, at HFBK Hamburg. Currently doing her Masters of Fine Arts.

Her artistic practice focuses on installation, sculpture, film and photography. In her multimedia works, she deals with interpersonal relationships in the course of different contexts and structures. The openness in the choice of materials enables her to create thematic explorations that question our everyday processes and routines and often lead to immersive works.

In addition, she works closely with her artist collective Dünne Jungs (*2017), together with Ariane Koziolek and Lynn Scheidweiler. With a multimedia and interdisciplinary approach, their joint work focuses on the holistic experience through the creation of spatial installations. In their creative collaboration, the artists focus on sociological investigations of the human essence.
